TOOLS FOR ECLIPSES IN MAY 2003 by Haluk Akcam - Dec. 30, 2002 Here you will find some of the tools used in preparing the research article "Eclipses in May 2003". Since the article itself is a summary for the public interest, the tools presented here for downloading are also in demo version. may03tet.exe is written in Microsoft Basic PDS 7.1 and works only under DOS. It demonstrates how to produce a list of triple configurations for the period between May 01 - June 14, 2003, for the cases, which confirm the state of one rising, one setting, and one culminating body, or one rising/setting, and two on the meridian, for a certain geographical location. The accuracy of the computation is diminished with the demo version. Additional may03ra.dat, and may03dec.dat are data files used by the program, and must be stored in the same directory with the executive file. may03dat.txt contains the output list of the program, which gives the possible cases both in chronological and longitudinal orders.
